Introduction
Under normal circumstances, "Jia Liu" refers to influenza A, while "Xin Guan" refers to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The two illnesses differ in symptoms such as fever, respiratory symptoms, gastrointestinal symptoms, systemic symptoms, and complications. If any discomfort occurs, timely medical attention is recommended. In daily life, it is advised to maintain a balanced diet. If physical condition permits, appropriate exercise can be performed to help promote metabolism.

Generally speaking, influenza A (H1N1) refers to type A influenza, while "new coronavirus" refers to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Both conditions present differences in symptoms such as fever, respiratory symptoms, gastrointestinal symptoms, systemic symptoms, and complications. If any discomfort occurs, timely medical attention is recommended. Detailed analysis is as follows:

1. Fever Symptoms

One of the typical symptoms of type A influenza is fever, with body temperature rapidly rising to above 39°C, even exceeding 40°C, and varying types of fever. Similarly, fever is also a symptom of COVID-19; however, compared to type A influenza, the fever associated with COVID-19 may be higher in degree and last longer.

2. Respiratory Symptoms

Patients with type A influenza often experience coughing, which may be either dry or productive (with phlegm), along with other respiratory symptoms such as sore throat, nasal congestion, runny nose, and sneezing. These symptoms are relatively mild, including mild sore throat. In contrast, the respiratory symptoms of COVID-19 are more varied and severe. In addition to coughing, symptoms such as shortness of breath and difficulty breathing may also occur.

3. Gastrointestinal Symptoms

A minority of patients with type A influenza may experience gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, which are more commonly seen in children. Patients with COVID-19 may more commonly experience gastrointestinal discomfort, such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. These symptoms may occur alongside other respiratory symptoms.

4. Systemic Symptoms

Type A influenza often causes general fatigue and weakness, reduced activity capacity, and muscle and joint pain. These symptoms may cause body aches and discomfort. Compared to type A influenza, the fatigue experienced by patients with COVID-19 is more severe and lasts longer. Additionally, muscle pain may involve multiple areas and the symptoms may be more severe.

5. Complications

For elderly individuals, children, pregnant women, and those with chronic diseases, type A influenza may lead to complications such as pneumonia, bronchitis, and otitis media. The complications of COVID-19 may be more severe, including acute respiratory distress syndrome, septic shock, and multiple organ failure.

In daily life, it is recommended to maintain a balanced diet. If physical condition permits, appropriate exercise can be performed to help promote metabolism.
