Introduction
Varicose veins refer to the condition of varicose veins. Excessive pressure should be avoided during massage to prevent damage to the already fragile blood vessels. In daily life, wearing compression stockings can also help maintain vascular pressure and prevent the condition from worsening. If varicose vein symptoms are severe or continue to worsen, prompt medical attention is advised, following the recommendations and treatment plans of professional physicians.

In general, venous varicosity refers to varicose veins. Varicose veins can be treated through massage techniques such as Futli point (KI7) massage, Zusanli point (ST36) massage, Yilingquan point (SP9) pushing and pinching, reverse massage, and comprehensive massage. Detailed explanations are as follows:

1. Futli Point (KI7) Massage

The Futli point is located on the inner side of the lower leg, two cun directly above the Taixi point (KI3), anterior to the Achilles tendon. Using the thumb of one hand, slowly inhale through the nose while gradually applying pressure to the Futli point until a strong sensation of soreness and distension is felt, then slowly exhale. Hold for 6 seconds and repeat this process 9 times to help alleviate varicose veins.

2. Zusanli Point (ST36) Massage

The Zusanli point is located on the outer side of the lower leg, four transverse fingers below the Dubi point (ST35). Place the index and middle fingers on the Zusanli point and apply appropriate pressure while rubbing and kneading. If soreness and distension occur, you can use tapping techniques to relax the area.

3. Yinlingquan Point (SP9) Pushing and Pinching Technique

The Yinlingquan point is located at the indentation on the upper medial side of the tibia at the upper medial corner of the tibia. Apply appropriate pressure to push and pinch the Yinlingquan point. Massaging this point in the morning upon waking and before bedtime at night can yield better results.

4. Reverse Massage Technique

Begin massaging from the ankle and move upward along the leg in a reverse direction, continuing for 15–20 minutes each time. This technique helps promote circulation in the lower body meridians and enhances muscular strength, thereby helping to prevent the worsening of varicose veins.

5. Comprehensive Massage Technique

Apply a warm towel compress to the affected area for 5 minutes to improve skin blood circulation. Then apply an appropriate massage oil or lotion to reduce discomfort caused by friction. Use small circular motions to massage the affected area, which helps relieve localized pressure.

Excessive pressure should be avoided during massage to prevent damage to already weakened blood vessels. In daily life, wearing compression stockings can also help maintain vascular pressure and prevent disease progression. If varicose vein symptoms are severe or continue to worsen, seek timely medical attention and follow the advice and treatment plan provided by a qualified physician.
