Introduction
The formation of corns is mainly caused by factors such as ill-fitting shoes, foot deformities, skin injuries, and psoriasis. Treatment typically involves removing the underlying cause, correcting不良 habits, medication, physical therapy, or surgical intervention. To prevent the occurrence of corns, it is important to wear properly fitting shoes, avoid prolonged standing or walking, and maintain correct posture while walking.

Corns are mainly caused by factors such as ill-fitting shoes, occupational factors, foot deformities, skin injuries, and psoriasis. They can usually be treated by eliminating the causes, correcting bad habits, drug therapy, physical therapy, or surgical treatment. If abnormalities occur, timely medical attention is recommended. The specific analysis is as follows:

1. Ill-fitting shoes: Shoes that are too tight, narrow, or hard can adversely affect the feet, keeping the skin in a state of long-term irritation, which can lead to corn formation. It is recommended to wear loose and comfortable shoes and avoid high heels and tight footwear.

2. Occupational factors: Some occupations require prolonged standing or walking, causing uneven pressure on the feet and making corns more likely to develop. This is commonly seen among service staff, construction workers, and similar occupational groups. These individuals should pay attention to taking appropriate breaks during work and avoid prolonged standing or walking.

3. Foot deformities: Foot deformities can alter the normal weight distribution of the feet, causing certain areas to experience long-term uneven pressure and friction, which can lead to corn formation. Deformities such as hallux valgus and hammer toes may cause corns. Treatment options include corrective foot surgery or physical therapies such as laser treatment or cryotherapy to remove the corns.

4. Skin injuries: If the skin on the feet is injured, such as by punctures or cuts, corns may form during the healing process. This is because excessive keratinocytes may be produced at the injured site during tissue repair, accumulating to form hardened lesions. Treatment methods include using keratolytic agents, cryotherapy, laser therapy, or surgical procedures such as corn removal surgery.

5. Psoriasis: The pathogenesis of psoriasis is related to abnormal activation of the immune system, manifesting as red patches on the skin that may lead to abnormal proliferation of skin cells, which can then cause corns, accompanied by symptoms such as skin scaling and itching. It is recommended to use medications such as methotrexate tablets, acitretin capsules, and calcipotriol ointment under a doctor's guidance.

To prevent the occurrence of corns, attention should be paid to wearing appropriate footwear, avoiding prolonged standing or walking, and maintaining correct walking posture.
