Goji berries have a sweet taste and a neutral nature, and are associated with the Liver and Kidney meridians. They function to nourish the Liver and Kidney, enrich essence, and improve vision. Hawthorn has a sour and sweet taste, with a slightly warm nature, and is associated with the Spleen, Stomach, and Liver meridians. Astragalus, wolfberry, and hawthorn can typically be consumed together as herbal tea, and moderate consumption is recommended.

Astragalus has a sweet taste and slightly warm nature, acting on the lung and spleen meridians. It functions to replenish qi, strengthen the defensive system, promote diuresis, expel toxins, and aid wound healing. Wolfberry also has a sweet taste and neutral nature, acting on the liver and kidney meridians, and is used for nourishing the liver and kidneys, enriching essence, and improving vision. Hawthorn has a sour and sweet taste, slightly warm nature, and acts on the spleen, stomach, and liver meridians, functioning to aid digestion, resolve food accumulation, regulate qi, and dissipate blood stasis. When these three herbs are combined, they can promote the nourishment of qi and blood and strengthen the spleen to aid digestion, and are suitable for symptoms such as fatigue due to qi deficiency, weakness of the spleen and stomach, and poor appetite.

This combination is commonly used in traditional Chinese health care, where the effects of each herb complement each other, providing certain health benefits. Although drinking hawthorn, astragalus, and wolfberry tea offers health benefits, it should still be consumed in moderation to avoid gastrointestinal discomfort caused by excessive intake. Additionally, it's important to note that all three ingredients have warming and nourishing properties, and individuals experiencing excessive internal heat (fire) symptoms should be cautious, as consumption may exacerbate symptoms such as oral ulcers and swollen gums.

In daily life, it is recommended to maintain a balanced dietary structure and consume a variety of foods, which helps sustain overall health.
