1. Observing the shape and size of the uterus: Using ultrasound waves penetrating the uterus and receiving reflected signals to form images, the overall outline, longitudinal diameter, transverse diameter, and anteroposterior diameter of the uterus can be clearly displayed, helping identify abnormalities in uterine development or uterine enlargement.
2. Observing the condition of the endometrium: Using ultrasound echo differences, the thickness and echo uniformity of the endometrium can be clearly visualized, enabling detection of issues such as endometrial thickening, thinning, polyps, and uneven echogenicity, assisting in determining the menstrual cycle phase or identifying pathological conditions.
3. Monitoring ovulation: Dynamic ultrasound monitoring of ovarian follicles allows tracking of follicular size, number, and development. When the follicle reaches a diameter of 18-25 mm, it indicates impending ovulation, enabling precise determination of ovulation timing.
4. Observing pregnancy status: In early pregnancy, the location and size of the intrauterine gestational sac, as well as presence of fetal pole and fetal heart pulsation can be detected to determine whether the pregnancy is intrauterine and to assess embryonic development. In middle and late stages, ultrasound can monitor fetal growth, development, and fetal position.
5. Observing intrauterine abnormalities: Ultrasound can detect abnormal intrauterine echoes, such as uterine fibroids, endometrial cancer, intrauterine adhesions, and intrauterine fluid accumulation. These conditions can be further diagnosed by analyzing features such as lesion morphology, boundaries, and blood flow signals.
