Introduction
Trichomonas vaginitis is caused by infection of the vagina with Trichomonas vaginalis. The resulting secretions irritate the clitoris, causing itching, along with symptoms such as yellow-green frothy discharge, dyspareunia, and frequent and painful urination. Doctors generally recommend the use of metronidazole vaginal effervescent tablets, ornidazole tablets, and compound Sophora root wash to eliminate the Trichomonas and relieve itching.

Clitoral itching may be caused by sweat irritation, excessive cleaning, bacterial vulvitis, trichomonas vaginitis, vulvar eczema, and other conditions. If abnormalities occur, timely medical attention is recommended. Specific analysis is as follows:

1. Sweat Irritation: During summer or after vigorous exercise, excessive sweating in the vulvar area may lead to sweat accumulation around the clitoris, irritating the local skin and causing itching. Prompt cleansing of the vulva, changing into dry clothing, and maintaining local ventilation can help relieve the itching.

2. Excessive Cleaning: Frequent use of cleaning products or washing the vulva with hot water may damage the mucosal barrier of the skin around the clitoris, leading to skin sensitivity and itching. Reduce the frequency of cleaning, wash the vulva only with warm water, avoid using irritating cleansers, and allow the skin barrier to repair gradually.

3. Bacterial Vulvitis: Bacterial infection of the vulva causes inflammation, and inflammatory secretions may irritate the clitoris, leading to itching, accompanied by symptoms such as redness and swelling of the vulva, burning sensation, and grayish-white thin discharge. Treatment should involve the use of metronidazole tablets, tinidazole suppositories, or Jie'eryin wash under a doctor's guidance to inhibit bacterial infection and reduce inflammation.

4. Trichomonas Vaginitis: Infection of the vagina by Trichomonas vaginalis produces secretions that irritate the clitoris, causing itching, accompanied by yellow-green frothy discharge, pain during intercourse, frequent urination, and painful urination. Doctors generally recommend using metronidazole vaginal effervescent tablets, ornidazole tablets, or compound Sophora root wash to kill the trichomonads and relieve itching.

5. Vulvar Eczema: Long-term moisture, friction, or contact with allergens in the vulvar area may trigger eczema. When the clitoris is affected, itching occurs along with symptoms such as local erythema, papules, exudation, and crusting. Patients may follow medical advice to use hydrocortisone cream, loratadine tablets, or anti-itch and dehumidifying washes to reduce inflammation and allergic reactions and improve symptoms.

In daily life, choose cotton, loose-fitting underwear, avoid scratching the clitoral area, and maintain cleanliness and dryness of the vulva. If clitoral itching persists without relief or is accompanied by abnormal discharge, lumps, or other symptoms, timely medical examination is necessary to identify the cause and initiate targeted treatment.
