Generally, excessive internal heat (internal fire) may be caused by factors such as consuming spicy and stimulating foods, long-term熬夜 (staying up late), fatigue, oral ulcers, gingivitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), etc. It is recommended to seek medical attention promptly, identify the underlying cause, and then improve the condition under a doctor's guidance through general lifestyle adjustments, medication, and other treatments. Specific analysis is as follows:

1. Spicy and irritating diet: Long-term excessive consumption of chili peppers, Sichuan pepper, fried foods, and similar items can easily generate stomach and liver fire, manifesting as dry mouth, sore throat, and discomfort. Adjust your diet to include light, easily digestible foods; consume more heat-clearing ingredients such as wax gourd, bitter melon, and mung bean soup; drink plenty of water; and avoid spicy and greasy foods.

2. Chronic staying up late and fatigue: Staying up late damages the yin fluids of the liver and kidneys, leading to rising deficient fire, accompanied by dizziness, tinnitus, irritability, and insomnia. Maintain regular sleep patterns with 7–8 hours of sleep each night, avoid staying up late, balance work and rest appropriately, and relax both body and mind through meditation, foot baths, and similar methods.

3. Oral ulcers: Excessive internal heat can trigger mucosal ulcers in the mouth, accompanied by pain and difficulty eating. Follow your doctor’s instructions to use medications such as watermelon frost spray, oral ulcer powder, or recombinant human epidermal growth factor gel to promote healing of the ulcers.

4. Gingivitis: Upward inflammation of stomach fire can irritate the gums, causing redness, swelling, bleeding, and pain. Use medications such as metronidazole mouthwash, compound chlorhexidine mouthwash, or Niuhuang Jiedu tablets as directed by a physician to alleviate symptoms.

5. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): Excessive stomach fire leads to acid reflux, presenting as heartburn, acid regurgitation, and retrosternal pain. Treatments may include proton pump inhibitors such as omeprazole enteric-coated capsules, lansoprazole enteric-coated tablets, or rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated tablets, used according to medical advice.

In daily life, maintain a cheerful mood and avoid emotional agitation that may worsen internal heat. Engage moderately in activities such as walking or jogging to enhance metabolism. Reduce intake of stimulating beverages like strong tea and coffee. Through comprehensive regulation of diet, sleep, and emotions, gradually improve the condition of excessive internal heat.
