Introduction
Treatment options for mixed hemorrhoids include daily care adjustments, topical medications, oral drugs for symptom relief, injection sclerotherapy, and surgical removal. The appropriate approach should be selected based on the severity of the condition, with emphasis on long-term management and symptom control. If significant rectal bleeding or prolapsed hemorrhoidal tissue that cannot be reduced occurs, prompt medical attention is recommended.

Mixed hemorrhoids can be treated through daily care adjustments, topical medications, oral drugs, injection sclerotherapy, surgical removal, and other methods. The appropriate approach should be selected based on the severity of the condition, with emphasis on long-term management and symptom control. If significant rectal bleeding occurs or prolapsed hemorrhoidal tissue cannot be reduced, prompt medical attention is recommended.

1. Daily Care Adjustments: Adjust diet by consuming more fiber-rich fruits and vegetables, avoid prolonged sitting or standing, establish regular bowel habits, perform warm water sitz baths after defecation, reduce irritation to hemorrhoids, and alleviate discomfort such as swelling, redness, and pain.

2. Topical Medication: Apply ointments or suppositories directly to the hemorrhoidal tissue to reduce swelling, relieve pain, stop bleeding, and promote contraction. This method is suitable for mild to moderate mixed hemorrhoids and provides rapid relief of local symptoms.

3. Oral Medication: Take venoactive agents to improve venous circulation around the anus and reduce congestion and edema of hemorrhoids. For severe pain, short-term use of analgesics may be considered under medical supervision to avoid side effects.

4. Injection Sclerotherapy: Inject a sclerosing agent into the hemorrhoid to induce shrinkage and necrosis. This is suitable for Grade II and III mixed hemorrhoids, offering a simple procedure with minimal trauma and effective control of bleeding and prolapse symptoms.

5. Surgical Removal: Procedures include external stripping and internal ligation, stapled hemorrhoidopexy, and others. Surgery is indicated for severe mixed hemorrhoids or cases unresponsive to medication or injection therapy. It removes hemorrhoidal tissue to completely resolve symptoms.

Maintain cleanliness and dryness of the anal area, wear soft, breathable underwear; avoid straining during bowel movements to prevent hemorrhoid rupture and bleeding; perform moderate anal sphincter exercises (Kegel exercises) regularly to strengthen pelvic floor muscles and support recovery and prevention of recurrence.
