Introduction
In general, whether one can have sexual intercourse after facial trauma depends on the severity of the injury. If the injury is mild, with no obvious wound or the wound has already scabbed over and healed, sexual activity is usually permissible. However, if the injury is severe, with open wounds, significant swelling, or associated fractures, intercourse is not recommended, and priority should be given to recovery. Daily care includes keeping the face clean, disinfecting the wound with iodine tincture before healing, and avoiding contact with water or pressure on the injured area.

Generally, whether one can have sexual intercourse after facial trauma depends on the severity of the injury. If the injury is minor, with no obvious wounds or the wounds have already scabbed over and healed, sexual activity is usually permissible. However, if the injury is severe, with open wounds, significant swelling, or suspected fractures, intercourse is not recommended until proper healing has occurred.

If the facial injury involves only mild redness, superficial abrasions, or small wounds that have already formed scabs, and there is no pain, swelling, or other discomfort, and overall physical condition is good, then having sex may be acceptable. In such cases, care should be taken to avoid touching the injured area, movements should be gentle, and normal activities need not be overly restricted, as this will not negatively affect wound healing.

However, if the facial injury includes deep lacerations, stitches, noticeable swelling, bruising, or suspected fractures (such as in the cheekbone or nasal bone), sexual activity could lead to accidental contact or pressure on the face, potentially causing wound reopening, infection, or worsening of the fracture. In such cases, it is essential to wait until the condition stabilizes and a doctor confirms it is safe before resuming sexual activity.

In daily life, maintain facial hygiene. Disinfect the wound with iodine solution if it hasn't healed, and avoid getting it wet or applying pressure. Eat a diet rich in protein to support tissue repair. After facial trauma, ensure adequate rest and avoid strenuous activities. Before considering sexual activity, confirm that the facial wound is sufficiently stable to minimize the risk of re-injury.
