However, several factors may promote the development of leukemia: First, moving into a newly renovated home—where formaldehyde and benzene levels exceed safety standards—can induce somatic cell genetic mutations; over time, these mutations may give rise to leukemia-initiating stem cells. Second, irregular lifestyle habits and unbalanced nutrition can compromise immune function, increasing susceptibility to viral infections, which in turn may accelerate genetic mutations leading to leukemia. Third, frequent exposure to ionizing radiation can also trigger genetic mutations. Ultimately, it is these pathogenic factors that drive genetic mutations, culminating in the onset of leukemia. In the majority of cases, no specific cause is identified, and the disease is not inherited.

Treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia typically involves chemotherapy combined with supportive care. Commonly used medications include glucocorticoids, asparaginase, and cyclophosphamide. For patients with life-threatening disease, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation offers the only potential curative option.

Patients must strictly adhere to food hygiene practices to avoid gastrointestinal infections. Additionally, thrombocytopenia may predispose patients to bleeding; therefore, they should consume soft foods and avoid hard or coarse items to prevent oral mucosal ulceration.
