Normal Systolic and Diastolic Blood Pressure Values for Women
Disease description:
Recently, I’ve been experiencing headaches and had my blood pressure checked, which turned out to be abnormal. Could you please tell me the normal values for systolic and diastolic blood pressure in women?
For a 42-year-old woman, the normal systolic and diastolic blood pressure values are comparable to those of men: systolic pressure should not exceed 140 mmHg, and diastolic pressure should not exceed 90 mmHg. The normal range is 100–140 mmHg for systolic pressure and 60–90 mmHg for diastolic pressure. Blood pressure readings outside this range indicate abnormal blood pressure, necessitating regular monitoring and evaluation for possible primary (essential) hypertension or other underlying chronic conditions.
