Precautions for 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring are as follows: 1. The cuff should be placed on the left arm, positioned 2–3 cm above the antecubital fossa. If the cuff becomes noticeably loose, it may be re-tightened during automatic measurement intervals; the appropriate tightness allows two fingers to fit comfortably underneath the cuff. 2. During monitoring, wear loose-fitting, comfortable outerwear or a shirt. Avoid swimming and bathing. Also avoid operating heavy machinery or power tools, as these may interfere with the monitor’s function.
