Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) typically manifests as hematopoietic cell abnormalities. Treatment generally resembles that of leukemia, including chemotherapy and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. During treatment, patients should focus on nutritional support—consuming light, soft, and easily digestible foods; avoiding hard or overly greasy foods; adopting a regimen of small, frequent meals; maintaining good personal hygiene; staying warm to prevent colds; ensuring adequate rest; and remaining optimistic and confident.
