Can Shidi Shui (Ten-Drop Water) treat chilblains?

I developed chilblains on my hands during winter. Someone told me that “Shi Di Shui” (Ten-Drop Water) can treat chilblains—does it really work?

Ten-Drop Water has virtually no therapeutic effect on chilblains. Its primary function is as a summer-heat-relieving agent, typically used during the summer months. In contrast, chilblains are predominantly triggered by cold exposure and usually occur in winter. Therefore, topical treatments such as chilblain ointment or heparin sodium cream—which promote local blood circulation—are more appropriate for managing chilblains. Oral niacinamide (vitamin B3) may also provide some benefit in treating chilblains.
