How effective is Leikojun Tablets in increasing platelet count?
My child was recently diagnosed with thrombocytopenia, and I’m very worried. The doctor prescribed Leikojun tablets to increase platelet count. Could you please tell me how effective they are?
If platelet count is only mildly decreased, taking leucogen may help increase platelet levels.
Leucogen is an oral medication that increases white blood cell count and is primarily used to treat thrombocytopenia caused by various conditions, such as aplastic anemia and bone marrow suppression-induced thrombocytopenia. It is a derivative of cysteine and functions by stimulating the proliferation of both white blood cells and platelets. However, it is not recommended for use in children, pregnant women, or lactating mothers.
Administration of this medication must be conducted under the guidance of a qualified physician.
