Undergoing a conventional colonoscopy is generally quite uncomfortable. Of course, individual physical conditions vary significantly—there is considerable inter-individual variability. Some patients report feeling no pain at all, whereas the majority experience substantial discomfort during a standard colonoscopy. It is recommended that patients remain relaxed, avoid excessive anxiety or stress, and fully cooperate with the physician to ensure the examination is both accurate and efficient.
