Manifestations of Ovarian Function Decline

Disease description:

I’m not sure why this is happening—I’m only 38 years old, yet I’ve been experiencing significant mood swings lately and irregular menstrual cycles, similar to menopausal symptoms. I’m really worried this might be premature ovarian insufficiency (POI). Could you please tell me what signs indicate declining ovarian function?

Hello, Premature ovarian failure (POF) typically presents with the following symptoms: decreased menstrual flow or amenorrhea, and changes in menstrual cycle length. Cycle irregularities are often associated with hormonal endocrine imbalances. Patients commonly experience emotional instability, irritability, anxiety, insomnia, vivid dreams, and impaired memory. In addition to menstrual disturbances, infertility and dry skin may also occur. Other symptoms include hot flashes, sudden chills and sweating, dizziness—often occurring at night. We hope the above information is helpful to you. Wishing you a happy and healthy life!
