Dr. Yang Shuwen
Potassium chloride injection is generally highly effective in treating hypokalemia—for example, hypokalemia caused by vomiting, inadequate food intake, severe diarrhea, or prolonged glucocorticoid therapy, as well as that induced by administration of hypertonic glucose. In addition, potassium chloride injection can effectively prevent potassium deficiency. When potassium depletion occurs and oral potassium supplementation is not feasible, potassium chloride injection is recommended.
