Meniere’s syndrome, also known as Ménière’s disease, is an inner ear disorder characterized pathologically by idiopathic endolymphatic hydrops. Patients typically present with dizziness, vertigo (a sensation of spinning), and hearing loss. During acute episodes, severe cases may also exhibit autonomic nervous system dysfunction symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, and palpitations. The disease peaks in incidence among middle-aged and elderly individuals aged approximately 40–60 years, with a notably higher prevalence in women than in men.
