Clomiphene stimulates ovulation and is primarily used to treat female infertility caused by anovulation, particularly in patients with adequate endogenous estrogen levels. Additionally, it can be used to treat luteal phase deficiency, assess ovarian function, evaluate hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis function in males, treat male infertility due to oligospermia, and regulate menstrual cycles in women.
