KN95 masks are effective for viral protection. KN95 and N95 masks offer comparable filtration efficiency—both exceeding 95%—and thus provide effective protection against bacteria and viruses. Currently, the most commonly used masks for preventing SARS-CoV-2 infection include N95 masks, surgical masks, and disposable medical masks; among these, N95 masks offer the highest level of protection.
