Disease description:

Recently, I noticed that both my nasal hairs and the tips of my eyebrows have turned white, with no accompanying pain or itching. A colleague suggested it might be vitiligo. Could whitening of the nasal hairs and eyebrow tips indicate vitiligo?

White nasal hairs and white eyebrows may indicate vitiligo, as the affected areas of vitiligo are not fixed and can occur on the scalp, face, back of the hands, neck, chest, lips, or axillae. Affected areas may develop white patches of varying numbers. Importantly, vitiligo does not cause pain, itching, or a burning sensation in the skin.
