Hello, early-stage esophageal cancer often presents with nonspecific or subtle symptoms. Some patients may experience a burning sensation or discomfort behind the sternum after swallowing, along with a sensation of a foreign body in the esophagus. As the disease progresses, patients may gradually develop dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), hoarseness, coughing while eating or drinking (aspiration), and persistent pain in the chest or back. We hope this information is helpful to you. Wishing you a happy and healthy life!
