Disease description:

Recently, I’ve noticed that my testicles seem to be different in size, and sometimes I experience swelling and pain. Could this indicate testicular inflammation? What are the possible causes of asymmetrical testicle size accompanied by swelling and pain?

Unequal testicular size accompanied by swelling and pain may indicate conditions such as acute orchitis, acute epididymitis, or testicular tumors. In acute orchitis, the testicle enlarges, becomes swollen, and produces a sensation of heaviness or dragging; severe cases may also present with fever. Acute epididymitis is commonly caused by infection, leading to enlargement of the epididymis and subsequent involvement and swelling of the testicle, resulting in a feeling of distension and pain. In patients with testicular tumors, the affected testicle typically enlarges and becomes firmer in consistency.
