Hello, improper technique during teeth cleaning (scaling) can cause numerous scratches on the tooth surfaces. Additionally, scaling removes tartar from between the teeth, which may make the interdental spaces appear larger after the procedure—and in some cases, even lead to tooth mobility. Furthermore, once the tartar is removed, the underlying tooth surfaces may become more sensitive and vulnerable.
