Symptoms of the Common Cold
Disease description:
I’ve had a mild cold these past two days, with clear nasal discharge. After examining me, the doctor diagnosed it as a wind-cold type of common cold. What are the symptoms of wind-cold common cold?
Patients with the common cold typically experience nasal congestion, rhinorrhea (runny nose), or clear, watery nasal discharge. They may also develop pharyngeal pruritus (itchy throat), cough, headache, hoarseness, or other associated symptoms. In more severe cases, fever and chills may occur. Additionally, physical examination of patients with the common cold commonly reveals nasal mucosal congestion and edema, nasal secretions, and mild pharyngeal hyperemia.
