Diagnosis depends on the type of myopia. In children, the eyeball is still growing; thus, myopia developing at a young age is more likely to progress to high myopia. Pseudomyopia can be effectively managed through appropriate eye exercises and pharmacological treatments, whereas true myopia is typically corrected with eyeglasses.
