What to Eat for Declining Ovarian Function
Disease description:
Over the past year, my menstrual flow has been very light each month, lasting only one day. After visiting the hospital for evaluation, my doctor diagnosed me with premature ovarian failure. I would like to ask: What should I eat to support declining ovarian function?
For diminished ovarian function, it is advisable to consume more lean meats, fish, soy products, eggs, milk, mushrooms, wood ear fungus, kelp, purple laver (nori), fruits, mung beans, and red beans. To help delay the progression of diminished ovarian function, foods rich in phytoestrogens—such as soybeans, wheat, and black rice—may also be consumed more frequently. Daily meals should be mild in flavor, with regular portion sizes, and binge eating or overeating should be avoided.
