The standard value for fetal biparietal diameter changes with increasing gestational age. Generally, after the fifth month of pregnancy, the fetal biparietal diameter undergoes regular changes as pregnancy progresses. Starting from 35 weeks of gestation, the average biparietal diameter is approximately 8.7 cm; at 36 weeks it is about 8.81 cm, and at 37 weeks about 9.00 cm.
