Recently, I accidentally sustained an external injury, which resulted in a finger tendon strain. If the finger tendon is ruptured, is it okay not to use a cast?

The treatment outcome depends on the severity of the condition. Surgery can be effective as long as full rehabilitation exercises are performed; however, even with plaster immobilization alone, normal function cannot be restored. Recently, walking should be avoided and bed rest is recommended to promote recovery at the wound site. If redness, swelling, or inflammation occurs, immediate medical treatment is necessary. Dressings should be changed every other day, and stitches should be removed 2 weeks after surgery based on the wound healing progress.
