My wrist has been hurting quite badly these past couple of days. After an examination, the doctor said it's due to tenosynovitis causing tendon rupture. How is this condition treated?

Tendon sheath inflammation leading to tendon rupture: if there is a localized rupture of the quadriceps tendon, local immobilization with a cast or fixation device can be performed under a doctor's guidance. For rotator cuff tendon rupture, immobilization with a brace or cast is usually sufficient. In more severe cases, surgical treatment should be followed as directed by a physician, including suturing the ruptured tendon and then immobilizing the area with a brace or cast.
