What causes dull pain below the ribs on both sides?

I was in a hurry this morning and didn't eat breakfast. When I got to work, I felt pain below both sides of my rib cage. What could be causing this dull pain beneath the lower edges of the ribs?

If the pain is particularly noticeable during deep breathing, consider whether there is intercostal muscle involvement. There is also a possibility of pleurisy, a type of pain typically triggered by coughing and deep breathing, caused by bacterial infection or tuberculosis. Engaging in extensive upper limb activity or frequently bending the waist may lead to chronic injury of the ribs on both sides, resulting in a lingering dull pain.
