The absence of menstruation after undergoing tubal irrigation may be caused by inflammation or other factors. It is also possible that the individual did not use contraception during sexual intercourse following the procedure. If pregnancy has occurred, a hospital visit for further examination or blood testing is recommended. If pregnancy is ruled out, an ultrasound at the hospital can be performed to check the thickness of the endometrium. If the endometrial lining is sufficiently thick, menstruation is likely to occur soon.
