Whether motherwort granules can treat dysmenorrhea depends on the individual patient's specific condition. Motherwort has effects of promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, regulating menstruation, and relieving pain. Oral administration of motherwort granules can be used to treat dysmenorrhea. However, for secondary dysmenorrhea, motherwort granules cannot provide a complete cure. For example, if dysmenorrhea is caused by ovarian chocolate cysts, taking motherwort granules may only temporarily alleviate the pain.
