Dr. Wang Jianlong
In advanced renal cell carcinoma, fever tends to become increasingly severe. Patients with body temperature exceeding 38.5°C should promptly receive antipyretic medication to reduce fever and prevent complications such as febrile seizures. The onset of fever indicates clinical deterioration, disease progression, decreased immune function, and poor prognosis. With active symptomatic treatment, patients with advanced renal cell carcinoma can generally extend their survival by 1 to 3 years.
