Can cervical spondylosis cause ear blockage?
Disease description:
My cervical spondylosis has flared up these past few days, causing soreness in my neck and back, making me feel terrible. Also, my ears are very uncomfortable, constantly feeling blocked. I suspect it's caused by cervical spondylosis—can cervical spondylosis cause ear blockage?
Cervical spondylosis generally does not cause a sensation of ear blockage. Ear blockage can result from various causes, common ones including secretory otitis media, chronic suppurative otitis media, external auditory canal cholesteatoma, and middle ear cholesteatoma. In some patients, the condition is caused by Eustachian tube dysfunction. The specific etiology of this disorder varies among individuals. When such symptoms occur, patients are advised to consult an otolaryngologist and undergo otoscopic examination.
