What are the causes of pelvic adhesions in patients?
Disease description:
I am usually in good health, but yesterday I suddenly experienced abdominal pain. After examination, I was diagnosed with pelvic adhesions. Could you please explain what causes pelvic adhesions?
There are various causes for pelvic adhesions in patients, possibly due to gynecological conditions such as pelvic inflammatory disease or adnexitis. If these conditions are not promptly treated after diagnosis, the disease may progressively worsen, leading to pelvic adhesions. Additionally, a history of tuberculosis or the presence of diseases such as endometriosis cannot be ruled out as contributing factors.
