How to diagnose pelvic adhesions
Disease description:
My aunt has recently been experiencing persistent low-grade fever along with a sensation of heaviness in the lower abdomen. She went to the hospital for evaluation and is very concerned that it might be caused by pelvic adhesions. I would like to know how pelvic adhesions are diagnosed.
Pelvic adhesions can be diagnosed at a local reputable hospital through relevant examinations such as laparoscopy, hysterosalpingography, and fallopian tube imaging. Pelvic adhesions may result from inflammatory changes caused by viral or bacterial infections affecting organs such as the ovaries, fallopian tubes, or uterus. They may also occur in individuals with a history of tuberculosis. Additionally, endometriosis or surgeries involving nearby organs could also lead to pelvic adhesions.
