There are many causes of pelvic adhesions, most of which are primarily due to underlying diseases. For example, conditions such as endometriosis, pelvic tuberculosis, and pelvic inflammatory disease may lead to pelvic adhesions as a result of inflammatory responses. Additionally, if medical abortion is chosen, prolonged vaginal bleeding may occur, leading to incomplete shedding of the endometrium and an increased risk of infection, thereby raising the incidence of intrauterine adhesions.
