Disease description:

I've recently noticed abnormal vaginal discharge and irregular menstruation, and I suspect it might be caused by cervical erosion. Can the cervix be seen with the naked eye?

The cervical os can be seen with the naked eye, but only the portion of the cervix within the vagina is visible; the entire cervix cannot be observed this way. A normal cervix is typically smooth. If redness, swelling, erosion, enlargement, or abnormal daily vaginal discharge are present, this may indicate cervical inflammation. Patients are advised to seek timely medical evaluation and undergo routine vaginal discharge testing, as well as HPV and TCT examinations.
