Can a female fungal infection get better?
Disease description:
Recently preparing for pregnancy, when I went to the hospital for a pre-pregnancy checkup, the doctor told me I had a fungal infection. I would like to ask, can a woman's fungal infection be cured?
Fungal infection usually refers to vulvovaginal candidiasis. Women commonly present with symptoms such as increased vaginal discharge, vaginal itching, and curd-like discharge. With appropriate treatment, the condition generally improves. Antifungal medications can be used under a doctor's guidance; commonly used drugs include clotrimazole and miconazole suppositories. For more severe cases, oral antifungal medications such as itraconazole capsules or fluconazole tablets may be added.
