I have lower back pain and blood in my urine. After going to the hospital for tests, I was diagnosed with early-stage kidney cancer. Can early-stage kidney cancer be cured with partial nephrectomy?

Partial nephrectomy for early-stage kidney cancer generally cannot achieve a cure. Surgical treatment at the early stage of kidney cancer can only help alleviate the condition and prolong survival, but it does not completely resolve the disease. This is because potential cancer cells may still remain in the body even during the early stages, and over time, there remains a risk of recurrence.
