Can nephritis cause nocturia?
Disease description:
I never used to wake up at night to urinate, but recently I've been doing so frequently. I'm wondering if it could be nephritis—can nephritis cause nocturia?
In general, nephritis can lead to nocturia (frequent urination at night). However, nocturia does not necessarily indicate nephritis, as drinking excessive amounts of water at night, stress, or insomnia may also cause this symptom. If other contributing factors are ruled out and frequent nocturia persists, it is recommended to visit a hospital for evaluation to determine whether nephritis is present. With proper diagnosis and active treatment under medical guidance, the symptom of nocturia can be improved.
