I am 36 years old. During a gynecological examination, multiple Nabothian cysts were found on my cervix. My doctor recommended another examination using colposcopy. Is it necessary to perform colposcopy for multiple cervical Nabothian cysts?

Colposcopy is not mandatory for multiple cervical Nabothian cysts; these can generally be evaluated through gynecological pelvic examination or colposcopy. Multiple cervical Nabothian cysts are one of the most common types of cervical cysts and usually do not require any medication for treatment. For larger Nabothian cysts, surgical removal is an option, as medical therapy tends to be ineffective.
