What are the early symptoms of ovarian cysts?
Disease description:
My recent menstrual cycles have been irregular, and I often experience abdominal pain, so I'm worried it might be an ovarian cyst. Could you please tell me what the early symptoms of ovarian cysts are?
Ovarian cysts mainly present as lower abdominal discomfort, with localized pain or a sensation of pressure upon palpation. Some patients may experience bilateral abdominal pain, which becomes more pronounced after prolonged standing or physical labor. Most ovarian cysts do not affect menstruation; however, when malignant ovarian tumors metastasize to the endometrium, they can cause endocrine disorders, leading to symptoms such as excessive bleeding or irregular bleeding.
