Recently during a health checkup, I found out I have a cyst in my pelvic area, and I'm really scared. I'd like to ask: if there's a cyst in the pelvis, do I need to have my uterus and ovaries removed?

A simple pelvic cyst usually does not require removal of the uterus and ovaries.
Hysterectomy is only necessary when the cyst is particularly large, occupies the space of the uterus, and poses risks such as rupture, hemorrhage, or even ischemic shock.
