What causes elbow joint pain?
Disease description:
The son of my uncle has been experiencing unexplained pain in his elbow. After a hospital examination, it was diagnosed as joint pain. I would like to know what might cause elbow joint pain?
The most common cause of elbow joint pain is soft tissue injury to the ligaments and joint capsule near the elbow. Due to the presence of numerous ligaments, muscles, and joint capsules around the elbow, trauma or overuse can lead to local pain, resulting in elbow discomfort. Some patients may also experience elbow pain due to conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, medial epicondylitis, or lateral epicondylitis.
