Is chest tightness and pain a sign of coronary heart disease?
Disease description:
I often have chest tightness and pain. At first, I didn't pay much attention, but a friend suggested it might be coronary heart disease. Could chest tightness and pain be a sign of coronary heart disease?
Not necessarily. After developing related diseases, patients may experience recurrent chest tightness and chest pain. The pain lasts a long time, occurs without obvious cause, and responds poorly to medication. To confirm the diagnosis, tests such as chest imaging, electrocardiogram (ECG), and surgery-related examinations are required. To determine whether coronary artery disease is present, coronary angiography is usually necessary; therefore, the condition cannot be diagnosed based on symptoms alone.
