The Hazards of Uterine Functional Bleeding
Disease description:
I've had some bleeding, and after going to the hospital for a checkup, the doctor diagnosed it as dysfunctional uterine bleeding. I'm not sure if there are any risks involved. Could you please explain the potential dangers of dysfunctional uterine bleeding?
The risk of dysfunctional uterine bleeding can lead to anemia. With mild anemia, timely correction generally prevents adverse effects on systemic organs. However, moderate to severe anemia may result in inadequate blood supply or hypoxia in other organs throughout the body. Patients may develop a series of clinical symptoms including abdominal distension, nausea, diarrhea, dyspnea, palpitations, and dizziness. The more severe the anemia, the higher the likelihood of hemorrhagic shock, which can be fatal in serious cases.
