Methods for treating dry eye syndrome
Disease description:
When my brother called me, he said he had dry eye syndrome and wanted someone to accompany him for treatment. What are the treatments for dry eye syndrome?
The treatment for dry eye syndrome involves medication. Currently, the main treatment methods include artificial tears or eye drops that nourish the cornea. Commonly used eye drops include sodium hyaluronate, polyvinyl alcohol, and hypromellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) eye drops. For mild to moderate dry eye, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory eye drops can be selected; for severe dry eye, corticosteroids or immunosuppressive agents may be used.
